Ability to create a poll for voting on topics
Been wanting this for a very long time!

Just use a darn bot.
Having a polling ability which doesn't rely on removable reactions would be awesome. Especially built in. Sure it is feasible to use reactions to tally votes, but you can't always trust your admins to not simply remove a reaction in their favor if it was a vote on something more serious.
or just a strawpoll integration bot thing official like
Reactions can be used for that, and that's more efficient than add a feature like this I think !
I know you can use a bot, but discord could make it fancy. Do it like they have done with twitter polls.
Just use a bot
This is already easily possible. Don't make Discord waste their time making it for you.
Make it on your Discord server if you want it, and use reactions as the responses for players...
For the reaction problems, just remove other people's permissions to add emoji to a message. People can still add to emojis already on messages.
Hey there, i had a cool idea of adding actual voting polls to discord. I am aware that there are different ways to add voting polls such as using different Bots and by simply adding Reaction. but then stuff like this happends:
So, i decided to make this much simpler and less complicated method:
Before vote is casted:
After vote is casted:
The command could be something simple like: /poll <Text>
It could be something like: /poll <Text> [Option 1] [Option 2]
Users should be able to disable this feature for specific channels like:
This took a long time to make and only Adobe Photoshop CS6 was used. I dont expect any of this stuff to be added but it was worth a shot. Thanks for taking your time and going through this post anyways, have a nice day. :)
Agree! Facebook polls are amazing, would love something similar.
Would be cool with a poll system simular to the Twitter pool. :D so our discord members can vote directly from discord

We need this so damn hard!
true we need it dont like dots
A) There are bots for that
B) Reactions can symbolize something
There are plenty of bots for that.
Would be cool but can already be done by using workarounds like   reactions or :white_check_mark: or :x:
Why not just use reactions?
yeah i'd love to see polls where you could add settings like:
seeing results after you votedor after the poll ended,
being able to vote multiple times or once,
making the poll disappear after a ceratin amount of time or
being able to change your vote
