Discord is not only for gamers! Change Discord's description
All-in-one voice and text chat for gamers, developers, friends, family and literally everyone that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Stop paying for TeamSpeak servers and hassling with Skype. Simplify your life.
This is how it should be
I think Discord's a great messaging app that would be great if non-gamers would use it. On the other hand, it does focus on gamers, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I do think that all its cool features and ability to make custom chat servers could be used for more people than gamers, so that's why. I think Discord is the best gaming chat app, and if it weren't exclusively focused on gamers, I'd say it's the best chat app in general.

Regardless of how it can be used, Discord is built for gamers and for gaming.
I can't understand how this got nearly 3,000 votes already...

Discord has very little business applications because their primary method 4 server bans is IP ban by default. Always has been always will be corporate entities don't really like dealing with services that do that especially since they spread between IP addresses and accounts so that is why they would never invest in something like Discord because one bad person who works at the company or even somebody who visits the company could compromise their communication system this ban system that Discord has is targeted to Gamers who game in their house at least it assumes that it does not Target corporate entities well though does that answer your question?
Discord should have more of a..
Toggelable option for gaming, it's a perfect competition for slack.... But the upload limits and it's strict connection for games is holding it back. Discord for business would be great.

It's meant for gamers, so much weeaboos and thots and furries are in this shit. their not even gamers. So much servers that people say cock so much and Loli.
Discord is way superior to Skype and any other trashy program. Love the UI and features. This is exsactly what people need without having ads pushed in their face or leftist ideals. Freedom is awesome!
Discord was made for gamers, and the second most prevalent users are from the anime community, where every fansubber and fandom has their own dedicated servers.
This request is like asking Marmite to change their slogan purely because you are indifferent to their product.
Anime comunity is here!

*primarily for gamers though
also @Nano Burn, most people looking for an alternative to Teamspeak probably know what Teamspeak is :/
Why change it if non-gamers are already using it?

yes, finally i can speak with my bros and employees at peace. thank you god for showing this to me!
Change Discord's slogan
Its not only for gamers its the all in one for everyone
also i would remove the agressive its time to ditch Skype and Teamspeak slogan. Most people dont even know what Teamspeak is
This is exactly why there are people that refuse to move from Skype. They're not any of those gamers most of them. & yes Discord shouldn't be for gamers only. Seriously though, that's too much claim now.
Primarily for gamers. Anyone can still join. I have GFX friends who use Discord over other platforms, although I doubt this will ever become like Facebook Messenger or Google Hangouts.
@3>Pomba Gira<3 You can still have all your gaming features... It would be stupid of them to limit Discord to gamers, when they can be the next big gaming, chatting app, and business app! And if they go for it, they will be the next big thing for sure!

The main idea of the discord is to make a platform for gamers. What comes after that is just a bonus and no obligation !!!

Discord is targeted for gamers, doesn't mean non-gamers can't use it because of a description. If discord grows bigger and introduces changes that are appreciated globally, not just by gamers, in a large scale, that could be an option, but right now it wouldn't make much sense in my opinion.
I mean the thing is, is some people dont wanna be classified as a "gamer", but they want to use discord with their friends and people from school for other stuff
